Up for sale is a PAIR of original Denon DN-S5000 CDJ's in excellent, fully working condition. One of the very first DJ control surfaces to use motor driven platters for true vinyl emulation, you can own a fully functional piece of DJ history with this item!
The Denon
DN-S5000
is a professional tabletop CD player for the DJ market featuring a significant technological advance for it's era: a motor driven removable CD platter with a replaceable belt, that behaves much like an analog turntable. The aptly named Active Motor Platter is supported by a host of scratch and DSP functions, and provides interactive playback of program material from the twin 15 sec. onboard samplers. Disc playback support includes CD-R, CD-RW and CD-TEXT discs, and MP3 playback is also available.
The robust
DN-S5000
CD drive, located in the front, is a slot-loading type, user replaceable and field serviceable, and backed by a 16 sec. shock-proof memory. The unit's control surface is nicely designed, providing a comprehensive set of clearly labeled, multi-colored backlit selector buttons, made of a tactile soft rubber material, and a large, fluorescent tube display.
