Microprocessor Controlled, Piston Driven
Only Ameda electric breast pumps are controlled by powerful microprocessors.
This amazing technology allows greater variability in suction levels and cycling speed, ensuring that more mothers can find their personal comfort level while pumping.
Additionally, it allows suction to be adjusted independently without affecting the cycle speed and vice versa, unlike other brands of pumps.
Piston-Driven
A piston moving back and forth inside a cylinder is the means by which suction is generated and released in all Ameda electric and manual pumps.

Custom Flange System (available with Ultra)
The flange is the piece held to your breast during pumping. What determines a flange's size - and your fit - is the width of its opening. With a good fit, you should see space around your nipple during pumping as it moves freely in the flange's tunnel. With a tight fit, your nipple may rub along the tunnel's sides or move very little.
Purely Yours Ultra features three of the most commonly needed flange sizes (25.0, 28.5, and 30.5 mm) and easily adapts with four others available separately.
