Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate, or AAKG, is a form of arginine in which two arginine molecules are attached to an alpha-ketoglutarate molecule. Arginine is an amino acid and alpha-ketoglutarate is a form of another amino acid called glutamine. It is believed that this formulation improves arginine's absorption, thereby further increasing nitric oxide (NO)production.
