    Description

    Five new maple syrup taps or spiles with 5 pieces of flexible plastic hose. Each hose is 4 feet long, total of 20 feet. Four feet will easily reach the ground. Maple syrup season is over, but plan for next year. Drill the tree with a 5/16" drill and lightly hammer in the tap. Put the hose in a clean pail or milk jug. Boil the sap to get delicious maple syrup. You will get about 1 pint of syrup from each tap for the season.
    Maple syrup season here in Michigan lasts about 4 weeks in March. Watch your temperature. The most sap comes when it is 25 deg at night and 40 deg in the day. The tree needs a temperature swing to make the sap flow. I am also listing new taps separately if you want to have a bigger operation. I tap 300 trees and got 40 gallons of syrup last year.
